There is nothing wrong in having a religion. The existence of religion is not a threat at all; however, religious extremists are the biggest threat to the survival of the Human Race.

I don't think everyone is reading your question right. No, religion is not the biggest threat to survival of the human race. I would say it is a help rather than a hinderance, although I am more spiritual than religious. I would say greed is the biggest threat--power -money-land...all types of great, that are essentually the same.

It is debatable if religion is the biggest threat to the survival of humanity. However, it is definitely in the top three along with resource mismanagement, that exploits and pollutes the environment to create a few very wealthy nations while the rest endure extreme poverty, and nuclear proliferation, which is providing the most powerful weapons ever to some of the most volatile nations.

The human race is the biggest threat to the human race. Over 90 million dollars was spent by the teacher's education association fund for political purposes. Why didn't they spend it on teachers?

No. The biggest threat is human greed, which exists outside of religion. It is a human thing, not a religious. I'm no Bible thumper, but i can say the original Christianity, before man warped it, was good. As for Muslims, Christians, etc-people like to have something to work against. Thus they fight. It's not religion, just fanaticism....

No - the biggest threat to the survival of the human race is, and always has been, those people who manipulate others for their own gain. These days, it is primarily the highly religious who are being manipulated for destructive purposes, by the white house, by republicans, by their own leaders, here and abroad.

In the past, for example, in WWII, it was nationalism that was the tool used to motivate people who do not think for themselves to do things that were...evil. Today, it is religion. But ultimate responsibility is, and always has been, with those people who have the charisma and connections to lead, and use those tools for misguided ends.

Only the religion of our divine Brother's which have been misunderstand and misused by some of our flesh brother's to satisfied their own ignorance, and pride.
Where many of our brother's have much forgotten the very teaching of our Heavenly Father that was taught to us to care of one and another, and the very faith that we once had with Mother Earth as which in the end the religion will not be biggest threat to humanity but it's the humanity themselves.

If you think it through, it our lack of belief in a creator that is our biggest threat. If a creator exists, he creates for a reason. Since I am a created being, then I not only have a "real" purpose for life, but, each person's life is valuable, for they also have a purpose in life. If you harm a person, then you will held to account, whether by society if possible, or by God for certain.

Without a creator in the equation of life, civilization deterioriates.
