YES. BECAUSE HE CHEATED. CHEATERS SHOULD NEVER BE RECOGNIZED FOR WHAT THEY HAVE ACCOMPLISHED. CHEATING GETS A PERSON NO WHERE. YOU KNOW HE USED DRUGS BECAUSE HE WAS SKINNY WHEN HE FIRST COME INTO THE LEAGUE AND HAD LITTLE HOME RUN POWER. NOW HE IS BIGGER AND HAS HOME RUN POWER. HE HAS CHEATED BASEBALL AND IT FANS.

To throw Barry Bonds out of baseball and erase his records would be one of the most outrageous and unfair things to ever happen to any person in the history of time. (I'm exaggerating a bit to make my point...) First of all, according to baseball, he's never tested positive for steroids or any other banned substance, so anything that suggests otherwise is simply a rumor at this point. Second, the period in which he was rumored to have used steroids was one in which they weren't illegal in the game. Yes, they aren't legal in the U.S., but baseball hadn't made the distinction to ban them during the period Bonds "supposedly" used them (and many other players have used "illegal" drugs throughout the history of the game, such as Dwight Gooden and Steve Howe)... Lastly, baseball (to my knowledge) has NEVER erased any records for any player, including those banned for life like Pete Rose and Joe Jackson, so to do so with Bonds when he's never been proven to do anything wrong is roughly equivalent to giving someone a life sentence for a crime he was never even prosecuted for... (By the way, I'm not a fan of Bonds...)

Simple answer...he cheated. He used a banned substance to improve his performance on the field. Any record he achieved while using should be considered null & void. The other players on those lists did it without needing help, why should he?
Arguments can be made that if these performance-enhancing drugs were available back in Babe Ruth's time, that the Bambino would have taken them. Would he? We'll never know.
But we do know that Bonds took them. He took them because he felt he needed an 'edge' to do what all the others could do without. I have no sympathy for Bonds. If he was meant to break these records, he would have been able to do it without the drugs. Plain and simple. He cheated, he got caught. Any record he may have set while this happened is fake, just like him.

No. Players have done far worse and their records aren't thrown out. The White Sox threw the World Series but those stats count.
Bonds stats will count even if they prove Bonds took steroids.

I dont think he should be thrown out or banned unless he tests positive for steroids. He has never tested positive and this is America where youre innocent until proven guilty. Sure, we all know he used them, but there really isnt anything that can be done unless he has a positive test or someone testifies against him. His trainer went jail instead of testifying so it will be tough. He is a piece of garbage though and will end up getting what he deserves.

Yes, he should because he cheated. But, even while cheating it is hard to hit a homerun, let alone 720. What would be right is they should put him on trial and find out exactly wat season he was on roids, and take away those homeruns. We all know that he wasnt juicing with the pirates, and he said just for five years. He should be thrown out now, but his homeruns without cheating should count. But I think he should get kicked out and never come back, along with all of the other people who use performance enhancing drugs, like alex sanchez and that guy from the diamondbacks.

Not yet!! Not until he has his day in court. He has not had that yet, and whether or not he has and is using steroids is still a question that needs answering. Having said that, I think if he is tried and convicted of lying under oath about his use of steroids, then his banishment from baseball ought to be considered and his records erased.
I hope you agree.

i think barry bonds is a loser. he used steroids to make what he is.. a loser. i feel its not fair to those who work hard for what they do. the ones who actually injure themselves, are trying so hard to compete with someone who thinks they are better than anyone else. bonds needs to grow some balls not a pair of breasts. his record should be erased and start from the bottom or just quit!

HELL NO!!! Barry was hitting great before his ignorant trainer gave him the cream... and steroids dont help hand-eye-coordination and that is the other part you need to hit bombs the way barry does. so that is my opinion and hopefully its the right one.

Yes, if he's convicted. He doesn't deserve to be on the HR list if he didn't get there legitimately. It would be a disgrace for him to be on it when the other guys got there fair & square and he didn't.
