I've had an ulcer, my hospital nurse recommended juicing green cabbage and drinking (blending) that juice twice a day for a week or two. I tried it for three days, and my stomach ailment went away...and never had a problem since. Any ideas about the ingredient in cabbage juice, some sort of natural enzyme possibly?

Cabbage juice is great for a stomach ulcer but the taste is vey strong. I would go half anf half with cabbage juice and carrot juice(which is also good for ulcers) and add a dash of cinnamon for taste. Take a small glass two or three times a day.

Raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar with a dash of cinnamon and cayenne will also be a miracle for stomach ulcers. Cayenne, although it is counter-intuitive, is wonderful for stomach ulcers.

A tiny amount of oregano oil in a shot glass of cranberry juice with a dash of cinnamon can knock out the H. pylori with several doses over a few days..

Dr. Christopher, one of the leaders in American Herbal medicine, often called Dr Cayenne, used it to help cure almost every malady that appeared in his office. For stomach ulcers, he recommended one teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a glass of water three times a day, and cured many a stomach ulcer.

Cabbage
Peptic Ulcer Treatment

Raw cabbage juice is well documented as being remarkably effective in treating peptic ulcers. In one study, 1 liter of the fresh juice per day, taken in diivided doses, resulted in total ulcer healing in an average of 10 days. The high content of glutamine, an amino acid that is the preferred fuel for the cells that line the stomach and small intestine, is likely the reason for cabbage juice's efficacy in healing ulcers.
The cabbage leaves were the source of peroxidase (E.C.1.11.1.7). The homogenate of cabbage leaves was salted out by (NH4)2SO4. The precipitate was desalted on the Sephadex G-25 column. It was observed that the Ca2+ and Mg2+ did change the whole activity of the peroxidase. Further in the Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (PAGE) experiments after the treatment of the above ions on the peroxidase preparation it was observed the evident activities increase of only some isoforms of this enzyme. These observations were dependent from the time and the concentrations of the ions used. It is possible that the observed in the electrophoretic patterns changes may have the physiological importance.

I'm going to give it a try. Thanks!

I also have heard that cabbage juice is good for stomach ulcer but do not know how it works.Anyway people having the problem can try. if they are not allergic to cabbage. Further they should undergo tests to ensure that they are really cured .According to recent findings the ulcer is caused by certain bacteria requiring antibiotic treatment

They make a juice that is made out of aloe Vera (it doesn't have much flavor) that you can drink and it can permanently heal stomach ulcers/ ailments. I've never heard of using cabbage juice. I hope you feel better. Peace.

Go to www.GoXanthones and listen to the audio link on ulcers by Dr. John Edwards. He explains how mangosteen juice can help.

To get mangosteen juice go to www.mangosteendiscovery.com and look for the product link. You may order it right from that site. It's all natural, tastes fantastic and has no side effects. Fully Patented

Cabbage contains sulfur which is used quite a bit as a pesticide. Maybe it kills some type of our of control fungus that grows in peoples intestines.
