i would in a heart beat,....its not worth remembering even if that means losing whatever knowledge i got out of it...which isnt much....she hurt me way to many times and even though it was my fault for going back several times and allowing my feelings and emotions to be taken on a terrible and mutilating rollercoaster ride....and the worst part of it....is that im STILL IN THAT RELATIONSHIP AS WE SPEAK!!! why...i have no idea...maybe because i have been brainwashed into thinking that this is what i deserve...but all this is in the past...and shes acting much better and treating me better...but still....the past hurts..and i think that im in the right at thinking that even the present is going much better than the past... its not fare to me...because of what i had to endure to get to this point....had to basically walk through fire and test and push my morals to the very limits....and now im vertually exhausted....and i dont think its worth moving on with this....even the past is past...it still plays in my mind a thousand times over every day of what i had to go through....and thats why i would like to erase it completely...it makes no sense to go through hell and be the right hand of the devil just so you can go to heaven....you should be able to start out good...but dont get me wrong..i know that it takes work to make a relationship work...but is it really worth it if your the only one that puts 110% into it to try and make it work? now granted....now she wants it to work...and thats great...but i just feel...little too late....

No, they were lessons I had to learn. If I could erase the memory, just like in "Eternal Sunshine of th Spotless Mind", I would be doomed to repeat the relationship again to learn the lesson.

Yes I would!!!! I wish I could go back in time and erase it all. I bet my life would have turned out so different if I never got together with my ex. He really brought me down and I would never choose to hold onto that memory!

no, never. these things are what make us grow as a human being and get stronger.
besides, memories are a nice property, no one can take them from you and you can pull em out or put em away when you want
i am sorry you were hurt, but ya can't erase it so just learn and grow from it
take care...the "right" someone will come along

no because that would involve erasing the memories of the joy they put in my life...the thing with painful memories is that you will eventually not feel the pain of the memory...but the thing with happy memories is that you will always feel happy when you remember them. :-)

As first I was going to say "yes", but thinking it over I have to say "no". It's going out with the bad ones that teaches you what you don't want and also how to spot it easier the next time.

That is very tempting but I probably wouldn't do it because that past is part of what makes me who I am today. There for since my wife loves who I am I wouldn't want to be different.

It would depend on, if your memories where good up to that point. If they were I would hold on to the good memories and learn from the bad.
