This isn't official yet. We'll have to wait until Zidane and Materazzi talk about it, and see if their versions coincide.

If it was true, what Materazzi did wasn't so different from the Italy bashing questions and answers on here. Stereotyping is always bad. Not all Muslims are terrorists, not all Italians are mafiosi. Actually only a small part of them are. But haters will be haters no matter what.

In 2004 Zinedine Zidane grew to become into on the books of genuine Madrid in Spain, it quite is a itemizing of the golf equipment he has performed for and in what years: 1988 - 1992 : Cannes 1992 - 1996 : Girondins de Bordeaux 1996 - 2001 : Juventus 2001 - at recent : genuine Madrid CF all of the appropriate Owen

There is no way to prove anything unless Materazzi says he did say whatever Zinedine says. The guy has a short fuse and it's been shown before. Probably some usually trash talk, but its part of the competition game - get in the zone and focus on your objective.

If neither Zidane nor Materazzi has talked yet what's the "very well informed source" this article is citing??? Let's wait till ZZ explains the whole thing and then decide whose fault it was.

Thanks for the info...however...

It doesn't matter what Marco said, trying to bait the other players (trash talking) is part of the game. You try and make ppl lose their cool so they do stupid things and you get the advantage. Which is exactly What Marco did! He got to ZZ. ZZ is a professiional and has been for years, he knows how the game is played. I'm sure Marco was not the only one throwing insults out there. Headbutting ppl is never acceptable...although it does make the game more exciting! LOL

i don't exactly about it.
but it would be known after the investigation set byn the fifa .
italian player stretched zidane and he fell down, as a result , his arm got hurt.zidane came back then italian player again caught his arm , then some words were exchanged between them, zidane butted his head to italian player and refree gave him red card.
zidane is a muslim it might be possible that italian player called him terrorist.
but muslims are not terrorists
italy has mafia,
mafia is terrorist

Hi Spiehlur, the Italian himself confessed that he insulted Zidane and he called himself an arrogant!! These are not speculations.

Anything that is reported right now is pure rumor and speculation. Read 100 articles on the incident and get 100 different interpretations.

Thankyou, ... very informative. First real source besides, hey my friend heard this and that.
When he comes out with the reasoning for his actions... I hope FIFA will headbutt Materazzi. I just did it to an Italian downtown yesterday. And let me tell you,.. he didn't get UP. (just kidding)

yes, that definately came with intimidation... materazzi should be suspended. my only regret for zidane is that he didn't take materazzi out with him, i mean, if he made that decision to do it, then he should have taken a player off of the italian side as well.
