I know I started working at a local restaurant a month after I turned 15 as a busperson. It was a family owned restaurant and I had to get a workers' permit. I wouldn't even attempt the bigger restaurants because most of them want you to be at least 16 or even 18. I would attempt smaller restaurants or maybe golf courses need some sort of help....I sold golfballs for a few years when I was 13/14. Then there are the usual....babysitting, offering housecleaning services for locals.....you could post these on postaroo.com for free that way you don't have to waste money in case no one calls. Hope this helps....good luck!

I agree with the babysitting advice, it may not be a glamorous gig, but it will get you some spending cash, or saving cash (hint-hint), and you can pretty much set your own hours and rules. Jobs are all about responsibility and dependability, prove both and next summer finding a job at a place YOU want to work will be a piece of cake. You might also try your school during the summers, it may sound crazy, but sometimes they have summer work programs, and it looks great on a college application, and a resume.

Fast food is great for your age. There's a statistic a few years ago that said when people have worked for two years at mcdonalds, 9 out of 10 times they get an interview with a good job later in life.

Try McDonalds.....any fast food place or stocking shelves at a grocery store.
The other options would be to babysit or mow lawns....kids in our area post notices in the stores and they get alot of work. Some kids have to turn down jobs because they get so many calls to mow lawns.

Landscaping is a possibility. You could start your own business. I had the same problem at 15. I wish I would have thought of starting my own business then.

Yeah, those bad old child labor laws are a real pain, aren't they? But they were created to keep people from exploiting children.

McDonalds will hire you. But you will need to have your parents consent. Thats it. Oh, and you are limited to work a certain amount of hours I forget how many.
