The two actually go hand-in-hand. A ghost is simply a spirit who's dropped the physical body but hasn't gone to "the Light" yet. Some don't even realize the body is dead! They're kind of stuck between dimensions.
When that spirit does finally go to the Light, it'll return for another lifetime if it chooses to.

yes i believe in both... ghosts i suspect are stuck here for whatever reason and merely trying to survive until they reach their destination. i also believe that dogs can actually see the ghosts where we merely feel their presence.
My dog actually would chase one in an old house i used to live in. She would bark at it and everything... i could feel it move by me from time to time.. but never actually saw anything but a shadow. I just wish there was a way to help him/her reach their destination cause it must suck being stuck in one place

Definatly, There are spirits everywhere, god says in the bible that he will come one day and I think that everyone who dyes stays here but in a diferent dimension on earh. That is why people say that there ar evil spirits in there house, because they do not go to hell till God comes for us.

I don't believe in ghosts but I do believe in God and that when I die I will go to heaven.
