Well it could be a couple different things...
first of all sono's are not perfect, so if your doctor isnt concerned then he/she may not think that the sono is completely accurate. secondly, if they are slightly larger it may be just the way they are in utero and they will return to normal after delivery. If you are scheduled for another sono, then you pretty much need to wait til then and see if there are any changes, which is probly what your doc is thinking too. Now it could be that there is a blockage in the urinary system that is causing the urine to build up in the kidneys because it is unable to flow properly. How is your amniotic fluid level? If it is low then there could be a problem, because the baby drinks the fluid and then excretes it, if the baby is unable to excrete it then there could be a problem. and the baby needs that fluid to develop in a healthy manner. if your doc is not doing any further sono's, push for one, or for a second opinion. Ask to be referred to a perinatologist, a doctor who specializes in difficult or problematic pregnancies.

If your doctor told you not to worry, then I wouldn't worry. Sometimes they kidneys are dialated before the baby is born and then they go to a normal size after birth. You may be watched a little closer now, a few more ultrasounds and such until the baby is born, but I wouldn't worry about it.

I'm not sure why that would be, but you might ask your doctor to explain why you shouldn't worry. If the doctor's detailed answer doesn't satisfy you, then I would ask for a second opinion.
I don't know a lot about babies, but details can make a world of difference in understanding why someone says something.

If your doc said to not worry, try not to worry. Your pregnant, so you just want to be worry free ya know? You want to keep the baby safe, so just try not to stress about it and everything. If you really can't stop worrying, then go to a doctor and just get checked again!
