at frist look i though that this was a stupid question but when i though about it i see that it was a good question.nothing in this world is ever really free. money make the world go round. we all need money to live on. so the point of money is life.

Money is a basis of exchange in our society. It allows someone to contribute to society in one way, earn money in exchange, and buy the things necessary to live using money.

Looking back across history, our monetary system evolved into this state quite elegantly. The alternative is communism (true communism, not socialism). This great experiment proved to be a failure. I believe the monetary system provides a motivation for most people to produce and contribute.

Money is used to motivate people to get up off their rears and do something you want. Everything else is free, e.g. air.

Because then no one would have any motivation to work. Someone isn't going to build you a car for free.

That would be nice.... but we need a barter system and since people don't make their own goods anymore money has to be used in place of goods.
