Could 200+ years of this so-called melting pot of a country actually develop a culture in that amount of time? Think hard.

American culture is the fashion and modern music that the rest of the world tries to imitate. It shares many similarities to western culture such as christian holidays etc. You have American literature and art. Many nature writers and hungry youth like Mark Twain et al, lots of action and just for fun books, even comics (xmen, spiderman, superman) little kids in third world countries know who superman is. post impressionist art but i don't know much art history. The 'cowboy' even if spaghetti westerns it was based on earlier American life. US film is international, we don't watch foriegn films anywhere near the extent that US film is viewed around the world. BBQ's, sports and apple pie are big icon's in America, even if shared by other cultures.

Of course it has a culture. You may not like it and it may be a mix of the best that the world has to offer but it has a long list of customs, styles and habits.

Sadly, nope. American culture (an oxymoron if there ever was one), is constantly changing, shifting from fad to fad. There really isn't any stability, as the fads fade and then come again as "retro".

The only way to sum up American Culture is that it's in hurry to finish first, without knowing where it's going. Sad.
