Maagal (ma-a-GAL) means "circle", but it doesn't refer to the geometric shape.
It refers to arrangment in the shape of a circle.

For example, you would NOT use the word "maagal" in the following sentences:
* This shape is a circle, and that shape is a square.
* What is the radius of the circle?
In these cases, use the word igool (i-GOOL).

You WOULD use the word "maagal" in the following sentences:
* Now children, please sit on the floor in a circle.
* Please form a circle and join hands.
* They danced in a circle.
