Although the total number of chromosomes in the lama species (llama, alpaca, guanaco, and vicuña) and camel is 74 and 70 respectively, crossing these species conducted between these two species was attempted. Surprisingly suceeded- CAMA has stepped into this world.

At 11am on January 14, 1998, at the Camel Reproduction Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Rama the Cama was born - the world's first viable cross between an Old World camel and a South American camelid. These two branches of the family Camelidae have been separated for millions of years.

breed why yes....crosws breed? dont know im not a camel or a llama

I don't think it's ok for any breed of animal to breed with a different species
