No -- it is narrated in retrospect by Marlow, after the events have occurred.
Not only that, but Marlow's narration itself does not begin "in Media Res" -- it takes the opposite form, a chronological tale starting at the beginning and charting what is, in effect, a descent into hell.
"In Media res" is most famously applied to Homer's Iliad, which begins years into the war, and fills in background later. As you know, I suppose, in media res means telling a story from the middle of the action.

No. It is not written "in medias res." It is written in retrospect. If it had been written "in medias res," it would have begun while the narrator is journeying down the river and then filled in the beginning as he completed the journey. As C-bar, I believe, suggested, the Iliad is a good example of "in medias res," which, as he also mentioned, does mean "in the middle of the thing/deed."

Think there is more chance he will be sentenced on malpractice certainly not murder as there was no perceived intent why kill the goose that lays the golden egg would not make sense. I also do not think they can sentence him for manslaughter either he supplied the drugs but Jackson took them of his own free will. Whatever happens Murray will never be able to treat people again and most likely will be struck off but one question Jacksons mental state was known to be fragile so why leave so many drugs just lying around ?

NO. It is written as a dialogue in by Marlow. He is telling the story to the newspaper guy. When he gets to the end of what happened to his partner, the continues for a little bit longer and then ends.
