I think some of the signs are there and I think people are causing a lot of things to go on that may shorten things even quicker............but I think it is "maybe" the beginning of the end and I think not for a few more generations of lifetimes. Personal opinion only.

What difference does it make? Even if it were to end,do you think there is anything you can do to change it or to stop it? There are things we can all do like recycling and planting trees and supporting the rain forests. But if the world is going to end,it will end. Why worry about what you have no control over?

There are many prophecies and ancient calendars that point to 12/21/12 as a date of major signifigance. However, those are all up for interpretation.
After each failed prophecy, there always seems to be another, but I believe this date does hold some merit.
End of the world, though? Not completely sold on that.

Are you still terrified by the y2k business they created. And they did make some profitable business! Separate this with me... the world will last a lot longer than we can imagine vs. life as we know it will be changing very soon. And who knows what changes your part of the earth will see.

Are you kidding? There are too many freaks running around who want to rule the world. They wouldn't make the mistake of blowing the globe up. Much more fun to make life miserable for the "ordinary" people!

Statistically, the answer is no. People have been "living in the end times" for thousands of years, which makes me believe most notions of apocolypse are the result of "Chicken Little" style paranoia.

If one considers the possibility, I think life takes on a great deal more meaning. Why wait? Your life is now.

Here's a spoiler: World will not end.
However, end of an era is another thing, which could easily happen in our lifetime.
