The modern toilet system was invented by Thomas Crapper and the expression used to be 'having a crapper' now 'taking a crap'. Playing illegal dice games is also known as shooting 'craps' as in the military it was a discipline offense to gamble. The games were organised and played in the Crapper, the toilets. I do not know how true it is, but during Queen Elizabeth's Coronation, on the floor near where she was crowned, you will see in old films of the service, part of the floor covered with a purple cloth. Rumour has it that it is the grave stone of Thomas Crapper and it was covered to stop any ridicule................

Taking would be to take it into the restroom I guess, why do they call it a restroom. When I get bored, I go here too.
