This is possibly a Java or Active X problem, check your security protocols and Java installation. Please also be aware that a lot of people are experiencing problems logging into their Yahoo email accounts and if you have had your email page open when the problems at the ISP started, then the problem will more-than-likely remain until Yahoo sort the problem out.... If you have an alternative email account (with another ISP) try using that for the next 24hrs and hopefully it will be sorted by then. If you don't have an alternative then my advice is to sign up to one, there are a lot of free options available.

normally the red x on the right hand corner is used to close a window, i don´t think it´s related to the typing issue.
Make sure the keyboard is correctly connected, then restart ur pc.

Go to your mail, then option, then look for the option not to block graphic etc. ie not only text.
Save your changes and try again. you should be alright then.

pop up preventer! means u cant view the document that it is holding! need to change ur settings for firewall.

could be there could be a graphic there and your browser is unable to display graphic (a picture). this happens sometimes.
or have you enabled any software to hidde any graphics ?
please give more info,eg, which email programme,etc for a real answer
