Material goals are a good thing: most people want a good job, a nice home, and some nice things to put in that home. However, in terms of whether your goals bring you happiness or not, it would be wise to choose goals that do NOT conflict with your moral values. If you believe that owning a house is morally wrong, then it would be unwise to pursue the goal of home ownership. Goals that agree with your values will bring you the most happiness. If you believe it's ok to own your own home and to own things, pursue that goal. If you believe that you owe something to your community and to your world as a member of that community and world, then pursue a goal that would somehow give back to your community and world. Not all material goals are intrinsically in conflict with moral or spiritual values. The difficulty lies in distinguishing those that agree with your values and those that do not. Blindly pursuing wealth no matter what is almost always immoral; getting a decent job and earning a good income is typically moral...though it depends a lot on what kind of job you have and what you do with your income.

Pursue both concurrently. Human spirituality is not all airy and abstract; it has deep ties to material reality. A long walk in the woods is both physically and spiritually fulfilling – not separately, but at one and the same time. Don't try to separate the life of your spirit from the material and social realities you live in. The one enriches the other.

It depends on you and what is real for you. Goals that are based on anything other than the will of god are not valid goals.Sure anyone canobtain financial riches, fame, etc. But if goes with the wind and you're back to zero.Spiritual achievements, nurtured and allowed to develop willlast all time and will deliver all material wishes.

It depends on what you want to reach in your life...............
The marking point are your "needs". You pass through different phases in your life, to get to know both sides. This is very important to feel what time it is!! Some time can only be spiritual orientated, while others show more aspects in the material world.
The higher you will evolove spiritual the more you will "choose" material things, which support your growing on the spiritual path, hence spirituality and materality are connected.

You will regocinze, that some things you have are no longer joy to keep, but heavy. Let them easely go... change is a law of nature.

If you want three little things to focus on: they are magic!!!
they are: truth simplicity and love,- focus constantly on them and let go of what gets heavy, get of what you Love and helps you to love more (beauty is a good word). Surround yourself by beauty.
beauty is often connected with material world, but beauty and simplicity will help you to connect to your own inner beauty. and please believe me,- your inner beauty is FAR beyond words or describtions...
feel what you need, get what you need, love.
The more you choose what you "Realy" need, the more free and "lighter" will you be.

balance is the key. your spirituality IS you and you must nourish it, but we live in the real world. you must have shelter, food, clothing.focus on what your physical and spiritual needs are and do what you need to do for both aspects. as for deception, spirit won't deceive you. we deceive ourselves because we don't want to examine the things we bring into our lives by our own action or inaction.it's easier to blame the world at large than look into the mirror and know you cause most of our own drama/trauma.

Material things won't matter when u die; u can't take a penny with u. It is immaterial things and spiritual things people should be focused on, rather than who has the best cars or biggest house, cuz none of it matters when u die.

Your goals should be spiritually based. If you have everything in line spiritually, you will begin to be blessed in every aspect of your life.

You will be deceived by one more than the other. The trick is in balancing them out. Balance is perfection.
