I don't mean God in percific, I just mean a Higher Power in all. I mean what was in the beginning before the Big Bang or anything. (Don't answer nothing.)

Just because there is no evidence for it doesn't mean there is not one.

Yes, it's possible. I include a quote from Albert Einstein - a far greater scientist than I: "My religion consists of a humble admiration of the illimitable superior spirit who reveals himself in the slight details we are able to perceive with our frail and feeble mind. "

Firstly people seem to confuse faith and belief; belief requires evidence that is based on perceived facts; faith does not require this.

As to the question I think the problem is humanity as whole has a hard time taking to the idea that we are not special, and that there is no design, making us feel small and insignificant. To be fair whoever eliminated the evolution as an argument is a little short sighted- science often encourages faith. After all when considering the big bang, you have to go to the 24th significant figure of the density of the young universe- one figure more the universe will never stop expanding, one figure less and the universe would have contracted in on itself instantaneously. That the actual value is so close to the 'critical' value is perhaps indicative that there is a higher being at work. Not to mention the specificity of things such as enzymes, DNA, creationists should embrace science every bit as much as the evolutionists methinks...

There's no evidence to directly support a higher power, but there's nothing to directly disqualify it. This is the reason why religion differs from science. Religion allows you to have faith and believe in something because you want to. Science requires data to back up a theory. If there's no data and no way to get data, you just kind of have to not worry about it too much.

Oh, and if you read Stephen Hawking's A Brief History of Time, he talks about the Big Bang. By definition, we can't know what's before the Big Bang, because information didn't travel through it. You can make a theory saying anything you like about what was before the Big Bang, but no one can prove or disprove it.

I'll nominate a big giant strawberry as the thing that was there before the big bang. But maybe that's just my stomach talking. It is lunch time after all.

Yes, this is a logical possibility. It's also logically possible that you have millions of dollars in a bank account at this very moment that you were unaware of this morning. Do you think this is probable? Your question assumes a beginning, which is also still to be shown. Once someone shows that there was an actual beginning to the universe, then we can look for a cause.

I believe that all matter started out as energy (not as a verb but as a noun) in its various forms but not as a solid (you, me, the earth, this computer, etc). This energy resided in two "energy planes" one positive and the other negative. Both repeling and attracting each other. As the planes oscillated and vibrated at some point they touched. The energy (its a noun here) that existed at the point of impact was saturated with the polar opposite energy causing it to condense into the sub-subatomic particles. Thus, matter takes form. Given the lack of resistance in the "space" that space now resides and the fact that matter did not exist to counter act upon itself the true "energy explosion" may not have been as grand as you might think. Off of the energy planes spured our galaxy. Think of a bubble in a soft drink as it floats off the bottom of the can. I believe that once the energys in the universe slows enough they will once again break down into thier polar opposites and fade back to thier respective planes of energies. These planes may impact at a million times a second or once in a blue moon but I believe that there are many universes in our can of soda just floating around waiting for our atoms to slow and desolve.

There is no scientific way to answer this question, and I am guessing science is a concern since you specify evolutionary theory in your question. Even if you supposed that there did exist a supreme being that started the universe, you would have no way to know because you cannot go back before the universe was created to test your hypothesis.

Whichever way you believe, you cannot have a scientific basis for it.

There is no evidence for it.

I think in a sicence forum you should stick to what the evidence supports, and theories do not require the intervention of a higher power nor do observations give any direct or indirect evidence of one. So it would have to be a no.

Similarly those who argue in favour should offer verifiable experimantal proof.

It is possible. There is no evidence to support that theory and I, therefore, do not believe it but I accede the possibility that a higher power could have started the universe.

This is an opportunity for me to share this with you . There is a higher power , higher than man , above all . Do you think we came out of a puddle of prehistoric soup ? God made us in His image , do you believe we came from apes ? That would be calling God an ape . Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and accept your salvation .He will lift you up on high and remove all your burdens and cleanse you of all uncleanness . Praise Him ! Believe ! God bless you and your family !
