Have to say I've spotted very little of that here. Most answers that are more than 'yes', 'no', or 'me too' give reasoned arguments and advice, if people don't wan't answers perhaps they shouldnt ask. Go and have a nice gin and perspective dear and lie down with a cool cloth over your eyes for ten minutes, it will all seem better then:)

I have no opinion until someone else forms one, then I will give my own version, when asked.
most of the time I prefer to listen which seems to be a qualification that many people do not have these days, perhaps they do not have the time to listen.
yes as you say in your question people are very self opionated they believe what they believe and they wont put that aside for a moment but they have a right to honour their own beliefs all creeds and all colours no matter what you say, if you don't like it thats tough isnt it? it seems to me that you to have your own beliefs and good luck to you. the best thing to do is draw yourself a nice large piece of neutral ground and listen to what is going on around you, it is madness utter madness, we are all being lied to on a massive scale by the news the press and worst of all the weather men/women.

Please keep in mind that someone's beliefs are the basis for some of the answers. A question such as, "Do you believe that abortion is murder?" will bring out a spate of responses base on any number of beliefs, from unequivical NOs or YESs to long rants about at what point is a fetus human, to conditional answers about rape, incest, the life and health of the mother.

And this is just one question. What about all the teeny boppers out there who ask real life questions about dating, sex, STDs and the length of skirts. They are not asking for the definitive standard to apply to their question. They are, in effect, asking "What do you belive I should do?" Responses are driven by society, law, experience and BELIEFS.

Sometimes that is easier said than done. Or opinions influence everything we do, and that is no different for politicians. Everything right now can be broken down into moral and ethical problems, and that won't ever change.

But I do agree that there are some questions that are completely non-political that could be answered objectively, but people find the need to push their opinions.

Beliefs are what frame our lives...it's difficult to put those aside when answering anything because it is who we are. I think that questions answered honestly are fine as long as any hateful language or intention is left out.

you could start by not using the f word in your questions, as you did in the last one. then people might take you more seriously.

Also, when you ask silly questions like, who is uglier, Hilary Clinton or Barbara Bush, you hardly seem like a person who is asking serious political questions
