Do you see yourself telling those words in a real situation to your partner or you think they just are platonic and exaggerated phrases to sell the song to the public?

I'm thinking of songs from artists like Eric Clapton, David Gray, Chris Isaak, Dave Matthews, Matchbox 20, Billy Joel and similar artists. I'm not talking about songs from Backstreet Boys and sorts - that's just waste of words, no meaning.

I play guitar and sing ballads to alot of the women that I go out with along with my own songs. They all seem to like it (so far anyway)LOL

I can't sing so I wouldn't even bother. I would rather turn on a romantic song to show her that I appreciate her. I think saving myself the embarrassment and being romantic at the same time would really win her over.

I am a bit shy when it comes to singing to a girl but I have been known to sing Heaven by Bryan Adams and Send me an angel by the Scorpions after copious amounts of alcohol

When I was courting my wife one night we were alone and romantic and I quoted the words from the song "you decorated my life" by Kenny Rogers. I know I fell in love with that song because it had real meaning. Do you know the words??

Once in a while you have to bring it to a level that is poetic and musical. I've never felt bad reciting some lyrics just to get my point across.

"Hey There Delilah" by Plain White T's

Very romantic, acoustic, one of the best songs ever.
