It's a challenging puzzle game of numbers from Japan. It is a grid of squares 9X9. Made up of 3X3 smaller blocks.

The object is to get every digit (1-9) in each row and column without a repeat. The challenge comes from the 3X3 boxes. Each 3X3 box has all the numbers in them too, without a repeat.

It's a very challenging game, my niece (12) enjoys it. And she kinda got me hooked on it. Once you get started on one, it's kind of addictive. You want to solve it.

Sudoku is a game/puzzle sort of like a crossword puzzle but it involves numbers instead of letters. It takes logic and intuition to solve sudoku puzzles. Like crosswords, they come in different difficulty levels (easy, medium, hard) and are found in most daily newspapers.

They are becoming quite popular lately!

It is a numbers game set up similar to a crosword puzzle only using numbers.
Each line and column have to have numbers 1-9 in them without repeating. Also each 9 cell grid (9 of those too)has to have the numbers 1-9 in them without repeating. It is basically a game of logic which is my forte and the reason I am addicted to this little puzzle. I do one everynight before bed time.
Try a beginner one ...you'll like it. Buy a small book of them because it has the instructions and samples inside to help you learn first.
