More then likely no, unless you have some sort of infection. That can cause contactions. It's possible you are feeling braxton hicks contractions. They aren't real contractions, just practice ones.

If the contractions are at least 10 mins apart and you are feeling like you can't talk through them, you need to call your doctor or go to the hospital asap. These aren't something to mess with, they need to be taken care of.

Call your doctor if you are worried about it. That's what they are there for.

Never heard that as a reason for contractions.... but Braxton Hicks can start this early... Being even slightly dehydrated can also make contractions start up. Just watch that they aren't continuing with any regularity, if they do, you need to get checked out. Personally, I've had about 5-10 a day since I was around 20 weeks along. I've noticed that they are worse on hot days when I'm not drinking enough water!!

I don't believe so because you usually get an ultrasound at 20 weeks and you have to drink 32 oz. of water an hour before the test starts. Just don't go to long it can cause an infection.

If you are talking about mild "cramping" in your lower abdomin, then you are probably experiencing the Keigel Muscle working hard not to squirt with a laugh or sneeze. If the cramping doesn't go away after using the restroom, then talk to a doc fast. If the sramp does go away, then you need to work in your Keigel exercises. This will help when in labor too. Good Luck!!

Contact your doctor or a nurse line at your local hospital. Labor and delivery in the hospital, the nurses there can answer your questions and concerns.
