I personally hate Johnny Damon more, because he talks like the Red Sox did the fans a disservice by letting him go, when in fact we are a better team for the future with Coco Crisp and the extra 25 million dollars.

The Yankees... All Damon did was cash in, and who can blame him for that? Red Sox fans should be upset with their management, not with Damon -- the contract he signed with the Yankees was fairly reasonable by Sox salary standards, so it's not like the team couldn't have made room in the budget for him if they really wanted to keep him. He's like the 10th best Centerfielder in the AL anyway, so who cares?

As an avid Red Sox fan, I have to say the Yankees because that then includes the traitor Damon who for a few dollars left the greatest baseball town in the country to play for a club whose fans are second rate at best. I mean where else do they boo great players except at Yankee Stadium?? Never at Fenway Park, the home of the Sox and Red Sox Nation!!

Go Red Sox!!

you Red Sox fans are amazing, how can you hate damon? all he did was signed for more money like every other mlb player has. The guy helped bring a world series to boston after all. The boston management didn't want to put up the money to keep him, so he took his services some where else.

as a yankee fan, i always respected damon as player.

I really do not like Damon, I read his book he wrote and he sounds like the ********, self obsessed person that he is.He traded to the Yankees for the MONEY and that's the only reason. He makes it sound like in interviews and on TV that he loves baseball and the game, but in reality its all about the money for him.I also hate the Yankees, but not as much as I hate that loser.Besides I'm a Red Sox fan, and that is just the lowest form, trading to the one team that we hate and despise so much.

I dislike Damon now. He had to follow the $$$$$$ to NY, join Uncle Georgie's Rent-A-Player Cavalcade, shave, cut his hair and conform, conform, conform!!

On the other hand, there are the damn Yankees, whom I hate with a passion that burns brighter than the sun. If the Yankees ever went 0-162 for a season, I have no way of expressing how much JOY that would bring!! I HATE THE YANKEES!!! Always have, Always will....

Johnny Damon is a Yankee. Like most Yankees, he's a total mercenary and will play for the highest bidder (which is always the Yankees if they want you).
