Either the belt is so worn that it won't grip or something's wrong with the timing gear itself... This is a job for a reliable mechanic. Don't keep turning the engine over, or you'll mess up the timing even worse. Have it towed to someone who can adequately assess the situation; if it's just a new belt and timing reset that's needed, it shouldn't be overly pricey. If the gear needs changed out, that will be a little costlier.

The timing belt is shredded on the crank sprocket. Replace it, make sure your timing is set right, then you should have no problems....given that no valves are bent. The 2.2 engines were sometimes interfering. I'm confident you will be OK though. Good luck.
