Do you mean the coordinate palne?
The center of the plane is called the origin. Coordinates of the origin are (0,0). Two kinds of lines run through the point. One is vertical, the other horizontal. The vertical is called the y-axis and the horizontal is called the x-axis.
Vertical lines run through the x-axis and horizontal lines run through the y-axis.
In the Xs the positive numbers go to the right of the y-axis, negatives go to the left. For Ys, positives are north of the X-axis the negatives are south of the X-axis.
Graph coordinates are (x,y). From the origin you would take first the x coordinate and move how ever many spaces it says right or left. Y comes second from the origin you would up or down how ever many space is says.
Let's say you have the coordinate (1,3).
Since Xs are first and they are vertical, from the origin you would you would go 1 space to the right. Since Ys are horizontal you would go up 3 spaces from that 1 and put a dot on that point.
That is it for graphing fundamentals.
