This is an answer for someone you would never expect, but first a question - how old are you?
I didn't get my ears pierced until last year(and I'm in my 50's) - in part, because I'm a wimp, and was afraid it would hurt.
Now, make sure that you go somewhere that uses STERILE equipment, and the person doing it washes their hands and wears gloves. Also, if you're underage - there should be a consent form for a parent to sign, AND very clear instructions about after care.
Now, to answer your question, does it hurt. Yes, for about 5 seconds, if that. It's a quick pinch, that's about it. It's done.
But, to once again, "go maternal" on you again, - make sure you DO THE AFTER CARE. It's a bit time consuming - about 5 seconds 3 times a day, but it beats the heck out of getting an infection - and that DOES hurt.
So, be sure you're ready for the responsibility of having pierced ears, and HAVE FUN. (Oh, yea, don't take them out before you're told - 6 weeks, usually - I did, and had to have that ear re-pierced - how embarrassing!)

I got mine pierced when I was 8 or 9 years old and I remember it hurting. Actually I think the sound is worse than the actual piercing. Plus one ear got infected and I had to go to the doctor. I've never gotten any other holes in my ears, or any other piercings for that matter, for that reason. Honestly, I couldn't imagine myself without pierced ears. I say go for it but be prepared for a tiny bit of pain.

Won't lie to you- it does hurt. It's not unbearable pain, but it does hurt like getting any other part of the body pierced. They can swipe on a local anesthetic, but it won't do much. It will continue to feel sore for a couple of days and you have to watch out for infections.

That being said- it's totally worth it. You won't regret it (as you might if you pierce another part of your body). Earrings are never out of style and pierced ears give you so many choices.

getting your ears pierced quite doesn't damage. believe me: it truly is coming from someone who'sTERRIFIED of needles. at maximum, it sounds like a pinch. After a lengthy time period, it ought to experience a tad uncomfortable, in spite of the indisputable fact that it is not that undesirable. I actual have 3 piercings in each and each and every ear, so i understand.

it just feels like a little pinch when u first get it pierced, and then after wards it just feels weird. it doesn't hurt that bad unless it gets infected. if you clean ur ears everyday at least 2 times, u should b ok. if i were u, i would go ahead and get them pierced. i was the same way before i got mine pierced, and I'm glad i did get them pierced. good luck!

The "pop" of the gun is the scariest. After that, your ear will go numb and sometimes it begins to throb. This should last about 1 minute or less. After that, you should have no problem.

It depends on where you have it done and what their qualifications are. I had mine done at a jeweler's office and a nurse injected my ears to numb them before piercing them and it did not hurt at all.

No. It soesn't hurt at all. I've had my ears and nose pierced. The nose stings but I didn't feel the ears at all.
