It depends on the type of question. For factual questions, Google is a good tool. However, if you're looking for opinions, then Yahoo Answers is better.

A search engine is only a good as its user. You've heard the phrase, "Guns don't kill people, People do." A gun shooter who is a novice won't aim as well as a person who has trained themselves.

People who answer on Yahoo Answers are those that know how to use the Google, and Yahoo and other resources to dig and search and find better information than those who do a search and don't find what they want and then click the link Yahoo has for "Ask your question on Yahoo! Answers"

I think if everyone that wanted information from Google or Yahoo! did challenge themselves, Answers would be unnecessary. That will never happen as there are new users to all search engines every day and the number is increasing all the time.

I think Answers will be relevant for a long time!

(Interesting side note: Google is not in the Spelling dictionary, but Yahoo is!)

For any factual answers, Google and wikipedia are great friends.

For any ''unrefined'' information, yahoo/google answers.
