As Dan Brown has said in his book "The da Vinci Code" that Jesus is just a mortal and He is married to a Lady according to the Jewish culture,How does Dan Brown explain the resurrection of the Lord?
Being a mortal one could not come back to life.

uh..

Mortal means you can die.

Jesus died. Therefore he was mortal. Done.

P.S. Dan Brown is a FICTION WRITER. He did not write that AS FACT. geez..

EDIT: Ok girl further down from me, you quote me, i quote you.

"'Dan Brown claims that his book is historically accurate. On the (movie file) Today show, Matt Lauer asked, 'How much of this is based on reality in terms of things that acutally happened?' Dan Brown responds, 'Absolutely all of it... is historical fact.' On (movie file) Good Morning America, Charlie Gibson asked, 'This is a novel. If you were writing it as a non-fiction book how would it be different?' Dan Brown responded, 'I don't think it would have...'"

Where's the source for that? I want that source, because if it's from some bible thumper website I want a good reason why you wanted to disprove me with that. Ellipses can very VERY fooling. Did you see him on the Today show? Do you know EXACTLY what he said? For example this quote from what you gave me: "Absolutely all of it... is historical fact." What did he say in the middle of that? It could be "Absolutely all of it is fiction. None of it is historical fact."

I actually saw one of Dan Brown's interviews and he never said anything of the sort that you accuse him of. He made his fictional book off of some research some other sources had done. They're not his individual ideas.

Oh man I'm steamed up now. Bring it on.

See here, however, that after Jesus passed on, he resurrected himself and was back by the third day, implying that Jesus is/was an IMmortal person.

Dan Brown isn't a fiction writer; he even said so himself on one of the interviews he was doing for the Today show and such. Mr. Brown wrote the novel 'The Da Vinci Code' with such intentions to make it NON-fiction; thus, going against the Christian/Catholic beliefs.

I'm not saying that he is a good person. Who would want to accuse Jesus of such dreadful things? They are probably a figment of his imagination, anyway. I'm just pointing out to you that Dan Brown wanted people to see that he was SUPPOSEDLY writing a non-fiction book, not a fiction one.
Personally, I think Dan Brown's IDEAS are a bunch of BS, and he should watch it. ;) You never know what might happen to the old wad.

Brown does not declare Jesus as mortal. The character Leigh Teabing says that he was "just a man" and married to Mary Magdalene. Brown doesn't speak out against the bible or Jesus in any way. Have you actually read the book? It seems to me that you're being told something that is not entirely accurate and passing judgment and getting angry through that. And also, if he wasn't mortal, how could he die at all. If he was immortal, he can't die. That's the definition of immortal. Resurrection, yes. But he had to die and go to hell first or else there's no point in him dying for our sins. The pain and death are the price. You should read a bit more and truely dissect things yourself.

So first of all, The da Vinci Code is a novel. Fiction. He has no obligation to become a Biblical scholar and prove or disprove the entire Bible heh

That being said. I think an underlying principle of his general idea is that the Bible is a book written by men to tell a story. Perhaps an important story, perhaps one people could learn a lot from, but not necessarily a factual accounting of real events. You can choose to believe Jesus was resurrected, but lots of people won't necessarily agree with you, and the fact that it is written in the Bible doesn't clear that up any, as many people do not believe the Bible is necessarily a factual account of real events.

Dan Brown didnt declare Jesus as a mortal. Everyone knows he was a mortal who died and was resurrected.

Dan Brown just created a fiction that the lineage continued via Mary Magdalene.

Did you and I read the same book? Brown did not say Jesus was mortal. He did claim Jesus was married...at least that's the way I interpreted the book.

He doesn't address the Resurrection in his NOVEL. His NOVEL is just that...a long work of FICTION. The resurrection is not part of this fictional (i.e. make-believe) story!

Everyone really needs to chill on this subject!

Articles of faith cannot and need not be "explained" or "proven" certainly not by the likes of Dan Brown, who is only in it for the money. Historical proof is irrelevant to faith.

Resurrection, like the teachings of Budhha, or the Avatars of the Hindu mythology, are a matter of inner sacrament, and of spiritual faith.

Jesus went from a mortal being, a carpenter, to a leader and possibly a divine person. Either you believe or don't.

He wasn't really dead in the first place. Remember, medicine then wasn't what it is now, so a lot of people were buried alive while in a coma and so on. Probably had passed out from shock and was possibly in a coma, then woke up and left when someone came in the next morning. Remember, you shouldn't take all the biblical stories at face value. Many are just allegories meant to get a point across.

Read the book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" by Michael Baigant, Richard Leigh and Henry Lincoln that Dan Brown used in his research for "The DaVinci Code". "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" is a NON-FICTION book.
