it doesn't take much literally. Of course you need some skill (either average or above average). There's 7 rounds so as long as you have a reasonable amount of skill you can get drafted. Just look at all those players you don't hear about that get drafted in later rounds. I'm sure they have talent too.

You've gottta show that you not only have way above average skills, but you have to have a great understanding of the game as well.
