After my girlfriend and I had a somewhat uncomfortable conversation about her still talking to one of her ex's, she asked if there was anything else on my mind.. I told her that she's the best thing to happen to me in a long time and I'd do anything I could for her. We've been together for almost two months now, and things are going strong.

I personally do not think that one would call that needy at all. If that was stated, then that person might be scared or just new to the whole needing someone in their life thing. Sometimes like me and my husband we just think differently. He is always saying how much he needs me and loves me and that I mean worlds to him,me on the other hand I feel the same way but just do not really say it much. Not that I don't like to say it,I just worry if it is said to much it becomes a habit and not said from the heart, or as special when it is said. Could be any of those... I say go for it, just give her room to adjust to hearing it. and if in time she doesn't like it still then maybe she should be doing some explaining about her feelings.

p.s the one thing that always works and this is a true thing, just think about it. She is still talking to her ex... ask her how it would make her feel if you did the same thing to one of your ex's. that will nip it in the bud.. if she claims it wouldnt bother her ..try it. and if she does get up set .. tell her that the feelings she is having about you talking to another is how you feel.

sometimes in life we tend to do things and forget how we would feel if it happend to us.

It don't think it sounded needy... maybe too much information but not needy. Two months is not a long time to be with someone. Truthfully it is not. You could of told her you like spending time with her and you like her alot. You saying that she is the best thing that has happened to you, although very honest and sincere leaves you vulnerable. I am wondering what she said after you told her that?

No , I guess this is the perfect answer to the question that she asked you . I can tell from here question that she is not ready for a long term relationship right now , so you take Ur emotional act to gather and slow down stuff . If in few months she is still the same then start looking for future .

To me hun it sounds that you are being honest and honesty is the best thing but dont be to upset with her friend ships there are some relationships that are better as friends then anything else and you have to remember she is with you not him and if you let that green jealous monster out you could ruin the best thing for you. But always keep the lines of comunications open and honest or things wont work out.

You haven't been together very long. I do know this though - if she wants to, she can talk to whoever she wants to. That is not a decision for you to make. Just because she's "talking" to someone, doesn't mean she's going to go out with him. Don't start being controlling or acting insecure in the relationship. It won't work. I think you fell in love too fast. You didn't say your age either. That could be the major issue.

No, you don't sound needy. You just sound like a man who cares about his girlfriend. She sounds the same, seeing as she asked if there was anything else on your mind. Hope it all works out for you.

No that is very sweet. She ought to be happy. There arent many guys out there that would say something like that. Another thing dont tell her when you have been drinking, it ruins it all.
