There are four theme parks and 2 waterparks at DisneyWorld. I believe all six parks are priced about the same being around $65, give or take a few dollars. If you want to go to all parks, get a 7 day park hopper pass. You can come and go as you please from all 6 parks for 7 days and you'll save quite a bit of money that way. I've never attended the waterparks myself, but my brother and my dad both enjoy Typhoon Lagoon a lot. They say you get you're money's worth out of it. Here are my take on the other parks:
Magic Kingdom: This is the main park, the one with Cinderella's Castle. This is the one park you want to make sure you kids see sometime in their life. It has all the classic rides, Pirates of The Carribean, Dumbo, It's A Small World, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, etc. The park is a lot of fun, but usually the most crowded of them all.
Epcot: Which stands for "Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow!" Its a very futuristic, scientific and culturally themed park. Its most famous feature is the gian silver Globe in the center of the park (which features a ride inside of it that explores technology over time). They have two very good thrill rides, Mission To Mars and Test Track. Both of which are very exciting! There are alots of exhibits featuring new inventions everywhere. Also the 2nd half of this park features display's from several different countries. You can eat food from at least 10 different countries and mingle natives of these countries. I find the park very fun and educational.
Animal Kingdom: This park features animals from all over the world! There are several different sections to the park and each part has a different theme. One section is designed to look like Africa. In this area you can take a safari and see animals native to that country. Its best to take that ride in the morning which is when the animals are most active! Another section is Asia, and there you can ride a pretty fast water ride called Kali River Rapids and their newest attraction Expedition Everest. Its an extremely fast roller coaster that goes both forwards and backwards. Then there is Dino-Land which has a themed section of fun rides for smaller kids, along with another fast paced ride indoors which goes back in time to see dinosaurs. It's a lot of fun!
Disney-MGM-Stuido: This park isn't only a park, its an actual movie set where movies, tv shows, etc have actually been filmed. All rides and shows are themed after movies and tv. The most popular attraction being the Hollywood Tower of Terror which is an elevator that drops you from 13 stories high! Also, the Rock-N-Rollar Coaster which is an indoor roller coaster which goes from 0-60 in .2 seconds! There are lots of entertaining 3D shows, live action stunt shows, and exhibits featuring movie memorbillia. There's also a life size replica of Grohman's Chinese Theatre where you can "Ride The Movies!"
I've been going to Disney World twice a year for the last 19 years. I love it everytime I go. I never get tired of going there. We're a family of four and spend about 2 or 3 thousand dollars on parks/food and what not. The food in the parks are a little pricy. You'll find yourself spending anywhere from $2-3 on a bottle of water. There are some very expensive places to eat in the parks, but you can also find cheaper places to eat. At Magic Kingdom, if you can afford it, I recommend eating in Cinderella's Castle. You'll spend about $25 per person, but its worth it. The same for at MGM if you eat at the Sci-Fi Theatre. Expensive, but worth it for the atmosphere inside the resturaunt.
Hope this helps, and I hope you have a lot of fun pn your trip!

I've been to Disney World 10 times. My family and I go every other Thanksgiving. It's one of my most favorite places in the world.
If you're going in the fall, the water parks might not be open. Check out www.wdw.com to find out.
Your kids will absolutely love Animal Kingdom, and the Magic Kingdom. You'll probably like Epcot Center (and so will your kids) There are lots of educational, but fun rides, and also there's something called the World Showcase, which is a semicircular walk filled with buildings representing different countries around the world. That's my absolute favorite part.
Have fun!

My dad and I and the rest of the family went last summer,we stayed there four days, it was a lot of fun. One thing I would warn about Disney World is everything there is very expensive. For example just to buy a 20 oz drink costs $3.00. Other than that you should have a great time. The best park there is the Magic Kingdom. The fire works at night there is spectacular.

We did a 6 day in park visit before Christmas. We did 1 day in every park (not including water park) and then 2 days doing 2 parks we really like (Magic Kingdom and Epcot).
We spent about 1700 total for two people (airfare, tickets, hotel, and the Disney mealplan). We loved it because we didn't have to worry about transportation to or from the airport because we used the Disney Shuttle service, stayed on the resort hotels (All-Star Music), used the Disney buses between hotel and park, and then with the meal plan had more than enough food for us.

Stayed one week. I enjoyed Universal Studios and Island of Adventure a whole lot better than Disney World. We went last year and they were celebrating their 50 years, so it was packed. I didn't enjoy it that much at all because we wanted to ride the rides. We had that VIP pass but you can only use it to reserve one seat within an hour. You couldn't go to several rides and reserve seats, only one at time. Like if you went to one ride and the wait time was 2 hours used your pass on that, then walk around and seen a wait line of 45 minutes you wouldn't use your pass to reserve that ride because your waiting on the one in 2 hours. Hope you understand that.
I suggest you get a day planner/brochure to fins out exactly what is going on that day. We missed seeing Raven last year, she was at MGM, and we went to the Magic Kingdom. So get the brochure or call them, maybe they can help you and let you know if any of the Disney stars will be there.
The water park was closed when we went. So I don't know how the Blizzard was. Looked fun though.
Good luck and take as many pictures as possible.
We satyed a week and spent $2000 there and $1500 on air fare. Ate breakfast at the hotel for free, got van rental through the interent on sale price, we bought groceries at Wal-mart and cooked at the room, we had a kitchen. There was a total of 4 adults and 4 kids. We only ate one place at Disney World and it was at the Magic Kingdom, somewhere by Tomorrow Land there were some go carts and the place is a burger joint. Has some space creature in it playing the blues, But the place was cheap. The had a lot of different items to sell, we go burgers and they were huge like mom and pop hamburger joints. Cost $5.00 with fries. Had to buy drink seperate. But it was cheaper than what we seen walking around. One cart had hot dog, chips, and a drink 6.50.
Purchased our tickets online, we got the 7-day universal studios tickets, 3-day Disney World Hopper, and was given 7-day Sea World tickets. Sea World was fun also. They even had rides there. I enjoyed the Shamu show and my kids had fun watching it as well and getting wet.
That reminds me, get ready for the rain, it rained most the time we was there, we went in early June.

We went two days last year and it was amazing...our favorite parks were the magical kingdom and MGM studios...they are all awesome though. Get online and read up on them so you know what rides you want to go on before you get there. Cuz there is so much to see and not enough time to see it all.
Have FUN!!!

I spent one week in Disney and spent a small fortune in March. In the fall you might want to reconsider the water parks(it is possible for it to be too cold). It was a little chilly when we went in early spring...so you never know. Everything is really expensive, so get ready to waste your retirement fund.

we keep going there in Sept --- been doing that since 2004 --- we love the place --- we stay a week
depending on the size of your family --- you'll need between 2 to 3 thousand dollars (family of 4) to be safe, set aside 4 thousand dollars for airfare, hotel, food, parks, shopping, transportation/tours etc...

Yes - stay about a week. It is a blast but it IS ALSO expensive. Check on any package deals they have for different parks. I know they have a 1-800 number you can call.
