any clues on where i could find rageing medieval horse pictures that look like they are in battle?

Check out Medieval Alliance, although there are no battling horse pictures, there are a few in armor.

yea well google in images Renaissance Frisians..cause the type of horses they use the most are Frisians...gorgeous horses..usually they have full websites devoted to that stuff

frank ziretti, i think that is his name, he has alot of cool pictures of medieval times, kinda comic bookish too
