It relies upon on what statistical distinct kinds you've on your league. Assuming that's like maximum conventional head to head leagues with 10-12 communities, Pujols is the consensus #a million, regardless of the indisputable fact that, first basemen are extra ample than say tier a million shortstops like Hanley Ramirez. A-Rod isn't a foul determination, yet Pujols and Ramirez are a million and a pair of for a strong reason. They produce always all three hundred and sixty 5 days!!

Everyone who already posted needs to go back and look at the numbers.
This year, these are the guys making a difference at the plate:
Ryan Howard, Travis Hafner, Alfonso Soriano, David Ortiz, Jim Thome, Carlos Beltran, Jose Reyes, and Carlos Lee.
On the Mound:
Halladay, Santana, Liriano, Mussina, Schilling, Capuano, Brandon Webb
don't Forget the closers:
Papelbon, BJ Ryan, Rivera, Jenks, Nathan

this year it is papelbon. he is literally lights out. just in general it is probably a-rod. last year he is one of only 2 players (the other is jason bay. im from pittsburgh so he is third on my list.) to hit 300, drive in 100runs, score 100 runs, steal 20 bases, and hit 30 homeruns. he is incredible defensively. i will say however he really isnt even on the same level as albert pujoles who could retire today and be a first ballot hall-of-famer and arguably the best first baseman ever. look at it he's player 5 years: the first 4 he finished 2nd in mvp and won mvp last year. he is the man

You have to say Albert Pujols easily. All the other contenders have someone else behind them protecting them. For example, Ortiz has manny behind him, Thome has Konerko behind him. You are obviously going to see better pitches because of the star that bats behind you because they don't want to walk you. Thats why the white sox are so good. Do you really want to face iguchi, thome, konerko, dye, A.J., Crede. I don't think anyone wants to because each guy in that order makes everyone on the team better. And it's game over after that
