I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

hi, (insert smart *** comment here). Sorry but some ppl who answer your questions are doing it for the points, not to truly help you out w/ your situation. The longer the question is the less likely someone will thoroughly read the question. Keep it as short and simple as possible. The average adult has a 7 second attention span/children have a 5 second attention span. Please be sure to spell everything as correctly as possible or you're sure to get a comment or 20 about that. (Insert additional smart *** comment here).

As a public forum YA gets all kinds of answerers. Out of the chaff there are some real gems. They type of question and the way it is phrased and what category it is placed in makes a huge difference.

I agree but I know I am abrupt at times. The good thing about this site is that people can let you know how they truly feel about things. Tact is not used as often when people are anonymous like they are here. I have been making a conscious effort to not be mean when voicing my opinion, it's hard but when I read questions like yours it makes me glad that I am trying too!

I think a lot of people in general have poor people skills, and the Internet greatly magnifies that problem. The anonymous nature of the web leads people, particularly immature ones, to feel like they can say whatever they want to anyone because it doesn't matter; certainly things that wouldn't say face to face with someone.

Patrick,
I completely understand your quandary.
As it turns outs, many people are of the belief that with the internet, people feel that they are rather anonymous, so there is very little recourse/responsibility for those who act (or talk) irresponsibly.
It says much about the state of the current human condition.

(BTW – this is my usual style of response.)

You are doing fine, don't let the lesser idiots get to you, they had very poor upbringing to say the least. I am also old and I say bring them on.

People are in a hurry to try and get points fast.
Sometimes they don't read questions completely.
