My brother in law, Tom is graduating and I want him to know how proud of him we are. Not only because he's joined the army but because he has gone from being quite a loser and throwing his life away to taking care of his wife and daughter. And he's got some self esteem and pride. We are so happy for him. It's a fabulous start. So what would you get him as a gift when he graduates? He's been gone now for 7 months. And will be going to Korea for one year without his family...
thanks!!! any ideas are welcome!

How about a Leatherman's Tool? You can even have it engraved. My husband has several and loves them. Being in the military, they come in handy in a variety of ways. In the Army, you are allowed to where them on your belt loop if you get one with a case.
