Larry Johnson.
If last years stats are any indicator at all of things to come from Johnson, then you are possibly looking at the best RB in the league this year. Compare last years stats for Johnson to LT's best year with the Chargers. More first downs, more breakouts, more touchdowns, and more overall yardage...and he did it in 336 attempts, less than LT in all but 2003.
We are...Penn State!

While Larry Johnson has shown fans his level of talent, LT is still an overall better RB at this point because of one little factor: EXPERIENCE. Tomlinson has had a few full seasons under his belt and has handled his duties in San Diego brilliantly. LT became the first RB to record 1000 yards and 100 receptions in the same season. Last year, he racked up touchdowns by running, catching, and throwing. His versatility is tremendous and his ambition is seemingly endless (when he ran for close to 1400 yards a couple seasons ago, he apologized for his poor outing). Larry Johnson has delivered solid performances that make many fans envision greatness, but LJ has yet to be tested with a full season. (Right now though, I feel Buffalo wishes they could rewind to 2003 and do the draft again).
LT is the better RB between the two.

Ladainian Tomlinson by fay. Larry Johnson only played 1 year. LT is a better receiver and runningback.

LT is the better overall RB.. he has more experience, and can also receive and even throw the ball (couple of td passes last year)
i'm going to say that larry johnson is going to run for more yards this year though.. just because he's young and ready to shine

Larry Johnson all the way. He almost had the most yards and he only played like what 8 games. Lt did nothing.

LT- He is more dangerous in regard to weapons. LT has speed, agility, power, pass catching, and running skills. LJ is an excellent back with a lot of same features, but he has played only one good year so far and LT doesn't have the o-line LJ does.

Ladanian Tomlinson is the better "overall" back because of his breakaway speed and good hands. Jonson has good hands too, but the lack of footspeed compared to Tomlinson keeps him from being complete enough to overshadow LT.

For now, it's LaDanian Tomlinson. He's proven it over the course of his career. LJ still needs a full 16-game season to prove himself.

Shaun Alexander.
L.T. is more proven, so you'll have to wait and see what Larry Johnson can do the next few years.

LT. Period.
Don't compare last year's stats. San Diego had, by far, the toughest schedule in the NFL.
