Have you changed the password for the account that you're using on either machine recently? If so, you need to change it on the other machine as well.
Good Luck,

If none of the above solved the problem, right-click on your network connection and proceed to properties. Click on the TCP/IP connecion listing and again on the properties button. A new window opens. Click the Advanced button near the bottom of the window and then click on the WINS tab on the top of the window. Make sure the "Enable LMHOSTS Lookup" box is ticked and the "Enable NetBios over TCP/IP" option is selected. Apply and OK all the way until everything is closed. Do this for every computer connected to the network.

The first step is to set the permissions to the share. so if i shared d:\data\ i would want to right click the folder and go to the sharing tab and click the permissions button. If they can see the folder and connect to it but not edit the files permissions is the most likely cause. Just give permissions to the users who you want to access or to test give all permissions to the "everyone" group. Really though its much better to just give permissions to the user that you want to have access to it.

I think you should power everything off and reboot. I've had the strangest problems disappear with a reboot.

on their computers delete the network your currently using, and just start the wizard over from scratch, set it up exactly like your computer is, and everything should be kosher.
if that doesnt work, you may need to reset your router and start from that scratch...
