Try doing your mascara right after you blow dry your hair. The heat from the blow drier will heat up your eyelashes. After they are properly heated, use to mascara to keep them in place. The heat will cause your eyelashes to curl together, all in one direction. Good luck.

I have to agree with Ruth K...I love Estee Lauder products and that's all I use with all my makeup.
However, I think because everyone's eyelashes are different (just like how everyone's hair is different) some products work better than others. I didn't really like Estee Lauder's "Magnascopic" because it left my lashes clumped together sometimes making them look like I only had 5 or 6 really thick branches of lashes...hehehe
It sounds like you already have some killer curl in your lashes which is good, now you just need some length. Any lengthening mascara by L'Oreal is awesome. I personally love Estee Lauder's "Lash XL" which gives great length. Stay away from those "curling" mascaras.
I suggest you use an eyebrow brush/comb tool while your mascara is still wet right after you apply and brush your eyelashes outward/upward to straighten some of the curl. Also, don't be afraid to close your eye and apply mascara on the OTHER side of you lashes which will brush the curl out as well.
Think of your eyelashes like the hair on your head. One coat of mascara on your lashes is the same as putting mousse or straightening serum in your hair. Then you use the eyebrow brush to style your lashes (in your case to straighten out some of the curl and brush the lashes upward) After you're done the first eye, do the other one to allow the first to dry.
Once you have your lashes looking the way you want, go back to the first eye and carefully apply more mascara to "set" your lashes. This second coat of mascara acts like "hairspray" and holds the style. If you want your lashes to look darker, continue carefully applying as many coats of mascara as it takes to give you the intensity of color you want. But don't over do it or else you'll get that "spider-legs" effect. Ew.
=)

Try a very heavy, lengthining mascara... try covergril fantastic lash, its water proof so it lasts the longest...
Put on a very light layer of mascara, pulling it away from you, then use an eyelash comb to pull the hairs in all the same direction. Then reapply another thin layer to get the hairs to stay in place. :-)

Get some really strong mascara (Maybelline's Sky High Curves is pretty powerful and an eyelash curler. If all else fails, apply alot of coats and smooth your eyelashes with your fingers into the direction you want. =) Hope I helped!

I love Estee Lauder...I've been using their "Illusionist" and can hardly believe the results! My lashes look long and lush. The "Magnascopic" is another great mascara from Estee Lauder...it adds mega volume. Both have wonderfull brushes and are well worth the price! The key to application of any brand is to do one coat and let it dry...move onto the next eye and repeat!

try a curler without any mascara on, and then great lash extend only on the top to really make them pop out, dont get a mini brush or those because that will just make them stay short you want a thick coat a long brush and i believe its either revlon or maybelle
