Mass is indeed a function of energy; at subatomic levels they are interchangeable. More upsettingly; there are times when energy is created... usually however this then disappears a 'short' time later. But not always.

What about time? Time has an effect on mass and energy but cannot be classified as either.

What about charge? Charge is a fundamental property much different than either mass or energy.

because with mass and energy you can feel touch and sometimes see. mass and energy are what powers the deminsions. mass creates energy, energy is a product of mass.
actualy a basic produt of existence.

as far as i know without using abstraction weight produces mass and weight produces potential energy and potential energy can be turned into energy by force either pressure or resistance and this results in force and motion which produces energy which produces weight which produces mass etc.

oh, tom of science, those two are not two.. they are one.
as your question is not explained,let me guz and give you some thing-
space & time are one..
all kind of forces are one...(it is what scientist are going to proove)
and all these catagories are one.( that will be their next target..)
