How is it to study 1 yr in The Netherlands?

Hello, I would like to apply to a MA programme in The Hague, but want to know little more how is it living there.. Can I take my family with me (Hubby and 2 sons, 10yr & 3 yr) ? Is it nice for the kids? How to find a place to live? What would be the best time to begin, Feb or Sept?

Amsterdam, I've found, is a bit dirty, and dangerous. While it sounds like a good learning opportunity for yourself, I think the family aspect might not be so great.

Don't miss going to the Anne Frank house. Fascinating and depressing at the same time.
