familiarity. 100 years ago a woman in trousers would have been in big social trouble, now we are used to it, but there was a time when it was unusual and considered 'wrong'. Times change, I imagine in ten years no-one will bat an eyelid at men in skirts

This is NOT true on my part .. If I see a woman in a mans out fit it is ummm I wish I was a lesbian...or doesn't she know that is the wrong shirt with that color jeans or that tie doesn't even go with that suit... Now if I see a guy in a sgettie strap I say the same thing uggg I hate those straps they don't compliment they shoulders at all or that is still falling down you better pick it up.. Now a skirt Yea I have a problem with them ..I think NO ONE should EVER wear a dress or skirt.. that is just asking for trouble... someone can easily have their way with you and not in the good way either forcefully.. so just don't EVER wear them men or women pls don't the thing I get freaked about seeing is the make up when it is on wrong also come on people lightly naturally.. this means LIPS also don't be putting on a nice shadow or blush complimenting you and then WOW pop out those lips STUPID that needs to be a natural shade also they flare up when you are aroused so stop when you get there and go look to see what your natural color is then get that color to help accent it when you are Not aroused... anyway...

Well for one thing men's clothes are usually less revealing, so a woman in men's clothes doesn't draw as much attention, because less skin is exposed. If a woman walks by in a spaghetti strap and skirt she gets a lot of attention too. Of course a man in spaghetti strap and skirt will get more negative attention, because it is not usually as pleasing to the eye. Where I live a man in a dress is pretty common, but they rarely take the time to shave all appropriate places and usually look quite strange.

Women have been encouraged to be bisexual for a very long time now, and men have been encouraged to be homophobic for a very long time now.
Most women will not be homophobic towards women, or any such role play that might take place.
Men on the other hand are outcasts if they show any such thinking.
Dressing as a man is an easy way to role play in sexual terms so that they are taking the role of a man and demonstrates homosexual tendencies.
Most men will appreciate this.
If a man demonstrates a bisexual or homosexual role play with other men it is expect that those men behave in a homophobic way to support the common ground usually found in the continuation of the dogmas and allowing for a relaxing time for the brain.

That must be from a guy, cause I'm the opposite.
I hate seeing women in mens clothes. You are a woman! Act like it!
As far as drag...big deal. I love men comfortable enough with themselves to put on a dress!
Just a quick story...
I'm walking down the street, brick sidewalks, I have on my heels; a man was walking behind me and says, "You're more of a man then I'll ever be!" I inquired further, he meant that as a man he could never do that (walk in heels on a brick sidewalk).
the point is, we all have our own perceptions of what is masculine and what is feminine.
Just, basically, I have a problem with masculine females. And don't care at all about feminine males.
Perception.

I agree with lovebug1234. Lets put it in real terms: 2 women yes, but 2 men, i dont think so. Same applies with genders and cloths

Just more proof of a male dominated society. So long as females "adapt" to the male model we are fine. But when a male "adopts" the female model we are innately disgusted.
