My roommate and I used to talk all the time but for the past 5 month and now that she found a new boyfriend to hang out with she never hangs out with me and barely ever talks to me. I'm not jealous cause all they do is drink and ingone all of their friends. Not sure what I should do. Should I just ignore her when she comes around and when she needs me be there for her? Should I just cut her off just like she has cut me off? Not sure what I should do since this is not the first time this has happened to me. She knows how I feel, I've told her before but I'm not sure what she is thinking and I hardly ever see her, if at all.

Oh, I've been there. I've been there at both ends of your situation. Getting a special significant other can be very all-encompassing. A person in the first throes of love has a very narrow focus. It doesn't mean your friend doesn't like you anymore. It just means she is temporarily insane. Don't play games and snub her because you feel snubbed by her. That would be deliberately being mean and you're better than that. Get out and do things you like to do. Meet new people. Be open to new relationships. Don't sit around waiting for your friend, but i wouldn't dump her either.

They got a new love life going and its fun right now...she found someone else she can chat with besides her best friend (you), she hasn't completely cut you off, she's just in a new relationship and is excited. He can be the cause by being a little competitive with you...and tries to hog all the attention. But time will pass and she will miss you and come around and want to hang out with you and chat more with you....don't give up on her.

Just be there for her.. and get a life of your own in the meantime. Your friend is realizing that there is more to life than just you.. and I know you're saying that you're not jealous.. but you are.. a little bit. There will come a point in everone's life when they're going to want to do their own thing.. that doesn't mean that she doesn't still want you to be there..
I think you're being selfish. I think what you're proposing is really mean. Your friend wants to live a little bit and be wild. She has a bf that she wants to spend all her time with.. and you don't??? Get over yourself.. she's not shunning you, she's discovering herself.. and if you were a friend you would see that.
