Aishwarya Rai is by far the best. The achievement of Ash in getting Bollywood greater recognition is well documented. Inaguaration of Cannes festival, Jury member Cannes and Time cover are her milestones. Besides this her acts of charity have been recognised and given Diversity award etc. Ash is the easily recognisable face from India among Non Indians.

Both have there personality, Aish is very well known throught the would were Sushmita is more known locally. Aishwarya seem to be more in the news then Sushmita, but I think Sushmita probably is better person. Only way to turly know this would be to meet both of them :)
