I have heard that is possible, to have menstruation during pregnancy, but not likely. I know you will here this a hundred times, but a visit to the doctor is a must. you could be having a miscarriage. sometimes even after you loose a baby the hormone that the test detects sticks around. If this is the case, your heath could be in danger. If your fetus is still alive then you need to go anyway for the sake of a healthy baby.
Why wouldn't you want to see a doctor anyway?

Okay, first off it IS NOT a period. It is impossible to have a period while you are pregnant. Some women just bleed for the first few months. My mom bled for the first five with me. I didn't with my kids though. As long as there are no cramps and it is not bright red blood, don't stress. If it IS bright red and/or you are cramping SEE THE DR!!! I bled once diring ont of my pregnancies and the doc said it was nothing to worry about as long as it wasn't bright red...everyone is different, to be safe see the doc.

I had bleeding when I was pregnant, and therefore didn't know I was pregnant. I almost miscarried because when I saw the dr I was bleeding. I had to do bed rest for 6 weeks. So you aren't having a period, you are getting ready to miscarry. You have to decide if you are going to have the baby or not. If you want it, you need to see a doctor ASAP.

This never happened to me. But I know a few people that it has happened to. You can still get your period in the first trimester. The most important thing for you to do, is to go to your doctors for your consultation, and they will give you a pregnancy test there and do a full check up afterwards. But it is common to get a period at the start of your pregnancy especially a one day period.

You maybe stressed, are you having rough sex. Sometimes women still have their period....the whole 9 months. You should be seeing a doctor by now, you don't want nothing to happen to you or the baby. You may need to take another pregnancy test to make sure that you really are.

If the test was positive and then you had a 1 days period, i would be sure and test once more! YOu may just have experiences implantation bleeding! It's quite common!
But just to be safe i would test again, or go see a doctor!
Good Luck!

Some women do have their period during pregnancy, it could be completely normal. However, if you are pregnant, you should be seeing a doctor. Are you afraid to go or do you you have insurance issues? I don't want to presume or offend you, but if it's the insurance you can get on Healthy start/medicaid and it will cover your pregnancy and then the baby after he/she is born. Please go see a doctor!
