I wanted the USA, who by the way tied this Italian team down a man. Thus fairing just as well if not better than Germany or France.

I was hoping that Brazil would entertain me be playing the beautiful game and wanted them to appear in the finals initially. But the Brazilian team lacked a certain quality. The team possessed world class players but were unable to find a solution in how to combine and amplify their strengths to the fullest. I didn't think they deserved to win this World Cup. I think Italy did very well and was particularly impressed with their tactical and strategic approaches and their robust and unbendable defence! Cannavaro was spectacular! Having only conceded two goals; an own goal and a penalty, is a commendable achievement. I think they are deserving champions. Forza Azzurri!

I wanted the U.S. to win, because I'm American, but other than that, I was just hoping to see good matches. Brazil seemed like they'd win, but France played smothering defense and the Brazilians didn't seem to know how to adjust. If the French had kept up that kind of defense against Italy, they'd be champions right now, so Brazil need not feel too bad about losing to them. Also, it is good motivation for the next four years. Brazil's closer to South Africa (the next host nation) than most other nations, so they might have a travel advantage next time. We should expect the Brazilians to be contenders next time, and we know that they'll play an exciting game. I look forward to it already!

Oh come on, Brazil has all the so-called great players but they never quite clicked and they seemed to be more interested in showing everyone their football skills than actually scoring goals (not that they were, it just looked like that). In short, Brazil played sloppy and the formations were loose. Italy was not the most exciting team but heck they took out Germany and France so they deserved their victory.

Brasil? Never heard of that...I wanted Germany or maybe Russia to win....or America...Italy is Good though.

The thing is-Brazil is really good. They have numerous titles and it is good to see change for a little. It just takes off the ego Brazil has.They'll work harder and come back more humble for the next world cup.

wanted brazil but Argentina seemed to be the deserving candidates.
Ronaldinho sucked. He didn't play his part to perfection that of the playmaker. Though I did feel sorry for him when the likes of CAfu and stuff were not passing him the ball for clearcut goals in the pre quarters
