All you really need to play LAN games with other PS2's in your house is to get an ethernet hub or switch (A switch is more intelligent), and attatch ethernet cables to the network adapter (SCPH 30k and 50k) or to the PS2 itself (SCPH 70k slimline). Note that this only works with a few games, like Gran Turismo 4. To play online, however, you need to plug a phone line into your PS2 or network adapter for dial up (Very few games support dial-up), or follow the LAN instructions, but hook a router up to one of the switch's plugs, or on routers with mre than 2 ethernet jacks, plug the PS2s into the router's built in switch (The row of ethernet jacks, the independent one hooks up to a modem, not the PS2s.) for broadband.

You would have to use either a regular router or they sell lan kits at stores like best buy. Contact your routers manufacturer for setup information.
