Yes it does. I'll even admit so in mixed company. (having been a soldier, I know that this will be taken by other Marines and touted as proof that nobody but a Marine deserves to be honored and respected.)
The media LOVES to ignore stories like this. With most being against the war, they're more interested in pandering to the foolish "peacenicks" who's only argument is something like "No war." or "No oil for blood" or "Bush is a liar" etc etc. Cnn and fox know there's more $ in outrage. The reporters want to be on the air, so choose the most "juicy" sensation they can find. That's usually not going to be something favorable about our servicemen. The mindset behind the general rhetoric I mentioned is not going to accept anything other than their own empty slogan. Telling them that ALL our presidents are liars, and oil is vital to our very lives, and that "no war" is an incomplete thought will do no good. They'll likely be to lazy to put any more thought into YOUR view than they did their OWN. The FOX's and CNN's out there know how to keep the $ coming in, and if it's by showing reality, it's only by chance, and is a rarity. Reporters choose what's reported, and do so with an eye for the brass ring. NOT what's really goin on.

Gee, if only those very brave soldiers indeed could have been policemen and actually protect this, their own country. But I guess joining the army and going where they're not welcome is that much heroic.

I'm proud that my little brother understands how Bush is a liar at such a young age, and how my step brother has refused to join the army once and once again.
I'm proud how my sister and I go out there and give money to those who hold their arms out for it, instead of buying a gun and shooting a Muslim "in the name of the country"
And I'm pround how my friends roll their eyes when they hear a war-promoting message.

Love and kisses!!

I an PROUD AMERICAN NAVY VET salute the men and women like Brian Chontosh whom are not on the tongs of other Americans because their stories don't get out. It is always the bad and never the good. Send this link to Glenn Beck at the link below he will get this story out to the masses. Bravo Zulu My Man I stand tall and commend he for the bravery and unselfish act(s) you have done for your fellow man.

You're right. We don't hear enough about the valor and bravery of our men and women in uniform. But we sure hear all about the bad things that they do. My first husband served in Thailand during the Viet Nam war. The way our soldiers were treated when they returned was shameful. I don't think most people give any thought to the fact that far fewer of our soldiers have died in the war on terror than in Viet Nam.

I am very proud of our soldiers. The accomplishments of Brian Chontosh make me proud of him. And thankful to God that he came home safe and sound. I pray for our service men and women. I thank God for their willingness to put themselves in harms way for the sake of freedom and independence worldwide.

Let's face it ... the good news doesn't get high enough ratings for the networks to show us very much of it. It's the bad news that gets the ratings. Thanks for sharing this with us. God bless!

Yes. Most definitely - Yes. Our brave soldiers are doing good work over there and they are protecting us from the terrorists coming to the shores of the United States. And just as the author of the words says, we are told constant lies by the 'Drive-by-Media'.

I think that our men and women in uniform should be honored more, on the news on TV, and on the front pages of newspapers. Our president should be taking our soldiers out of Iraq, instead of leaving them there to die. Our men and women are courageous and putting down their lives for our country. And our president is so full of himself, he can't bring our troops home.
