Well your group uses props is really catches the judges attention that's if the rules of the competition allows you to use them.

What is your group strong at? I choreographed a piece for my dance company once which included one group tap dancing while doing basketball drill,s other combining weight lifting with tapping, another group combined it with traditional ballet moves and yet another group just did one heck of a tap exhibition. It was done to an original sound track made by one of my dancer's dad. I have to admit the kids were amazing!
At times the pieces overlapped and at the end all combined together.

Well some people in my studio did dances w/ bamboo sticks, basketballs things like that. Be creative and have fun with it. Anther theme is disney or brodway

there are a NUMBER of middle eastern dances that are performed as a group -

all you have to do is find a song you like and go for it!!!

My sister did a dance once with glow sticks. It was cool.Very hypnotic!
