Well, what will you be using the computer for exactly? If you are just doing word processing and other basic tasks, a laptop or entry level desktop will serve the purpose. If you plan on doing some serious gaming or running LOTS of software, a desktop will probably be better. Laptops are bad about getting hot, so if you are running a fast processor, you'll have to turn it off every once and a while to keep it from overheating.

It all depends on the intended use
Get a laptop only if you really plan to use it outside your home.
If you buy a laptop and don't take it anywhere, you are wasting your money. Laptops generally cost about 50% more than a desktop PC with similar capabilities.
So if you plan on using it on the go, a laptop is a good choice. Otherwise, stay with a desktop PC

Well it depends on what is the use of your computer. If you are using it for programming or development purpose then there is no need for a desktop cos you won't be needing any speakers or graphic card and those things, but if you want to play games, play DVD, listen music then I will suggest a desktop with a 5.1 surround speaker system , a graphic card etc.
So think of its use first, then buy it. Best of luck with your computer.

Depends on what you are going to use it for, if your on the go a lot, definately a laptop, but if you don't wanna pack a laptop around I recommend a Desktop, from my own personal experience, desktops have always been faster, last longer, (sometimes) and if you have to work on it, it's not as complicated and frustrating, desktops all the way!

It only depends on what you are using it for. If you would ever need to take it with you, go with the laptop. If it is for playing games and surfing the web, go with the desktop. The only way to really know is ask yourself what you are using a computer for

depends on your needs. if you are a "on the go" business man, go with the laptop. if your a "i work from home" kinda guy get a desktop. if u feel u need instant access to the web get a PDA phone, u can do a lot with it, record video, take pictures, record memos, type notes, surf the web, make phone calls. but in your case before u do that keep in mind laptops are pretty convenient!

A laptop for many reasons. You can take it anywhere, lightweight and it doesn't have to sirt on a desk and get dusty. A laptop is very helpfully for many jobs like a police officer so they can write reports, a person who works in the office or basically any job that requires computers.

You have to remember most laptops are NOT full pc’s with many bottle necks and tend to be slower. If that is ok and you need the portability cool.. I personally need both. But I do have a full function laptop, (it is very large but acts as a full pc)
