We miss so many nice moments that have the potential to make us happy. What if all of us describe to ourselves our perfect moments, our perfect life, ... in order to get the maximum happiness out of the situation should we ever get to LIVE it. How easy God's job would be if HE knew our 'definition of happiness!!'

How can I make someone happy if the other person keeps 'changing' or does not know at all 'what makes him/her happy?"
In sales, for example, how do I have a happy customer if the 'product requirement/specification' is always changing.

John MIlton once wrote that " the mind is its own place, and in itself, can make heaven of hell, and a hell of heaven" and Albert Camus that " You will never be happy if you continue to search for what happiness consists of. You will never live if you are looking for the meaning of life".

Don't search for the definition of happiness or a perfect moment. It would be like expecting to witness the most beautiful sunset, when all are already beautiful if you're willing to gaze at them as such. Don't miss out of so many beautiful things waiting for the perfet one.

"Happiness is like a butterfly, when pursued is always beyond our grasp, but if you sit down quietly it might alight upon you."

Happiness is not a destination. Just enjoy the scenery if you get lost on your way there.

Happiness is a choice rather than an external event.
There are many unhappy people who, from outward appearances, have everything they should need to be happy.
I recall two times I was totally happy and at peace in the moment - yet one of those times I was being arrested for civil disobedience, and the other I had just pulled a large piece of cardboard over me as I was living on the streets and it was pouring down rain.

God loves us so much, we were given free will. God's job is easy, cuz God doesn't see our problems. All our problems are ones we're making up, like kids pretending to be cops n robbers.

I think the way most people would describe their perfect life is actually quite different from what would make them happy. Rather than coming up with imaginary situations that we can label as ideal, we should make the best of the situations we've got – both by improving them, and by appreciating them for what they are.

We feel happy when we find that what we liked has actually happened.
We miss happiness only when what we like does not or is not likely to happen ?
Well, if things are not in our hands, why not accept, and try to like the way it is.. A bit difficult option, but if cultivated, the moments of happiness can become many such frequent moments !

Actually he does know and he allows us the opportunity to live our own definitions of happiness. At the same time he tells us exactly what will bring us true and lasting happiness. The fact that you are alive at this current moment means that you have the opportunity to reach whatever definition of happiness you wish to follow.

Happiness is a mistery... I have everything anyone could ever want in my life and i'm not happy.
I really dont know what's missing here so that i can be happy. And i think God's job is not make us happy, but be by our side whenever we need him.

DearDearDear..if every gets what they want,in the way they want i.e the perfect world for everybody, it will be no worse than the end of a dream. Imagine if you have no dreams, no wants, no desires, you all have what u have ever wanted.
"Man does nt lives by bread n butter, its the passion to turn dreams into reality which keeps us alive, moving all the time"
Go...chase ur dreams...n turn them on.....

my definition of happiness is when I am with Him.
There I have no worries, no sadness, and no guilty feelings.
He accepts me the way I am and make me comfortable when I'm around Him. He knows my definition of happiness. That's what makes Him always try to hold me.
